When is the session done?

The best time for a newborn session to occur is during the first two weeks following their birth. This time period is best because newborn infants are able to fall into a deep sleep after feeding/nursing. This deep sleep allows for all of the posing. After this time frame newborns don't normally sleep like this making some of the posing more difficult.

*Newborn sessions are done Monday through Friday in the mornings only.

what is a newborn session like?

Newborn sessions can last anywhere from two to three hours. This ensures that we have plenty of time to care for your babies needs. Feedings, diaper changes, soothing, etc can take more time than you think. As much as we try to plan the session, your little one is ultimately the one in charge.

Newborn safety is very important to me. Not every baby will do every pose. For this reason I will never force a baby into a specific pose or prop.

Where is the session held?

Newborn session are held at my studio in Fairhope, Alabama. I have all of the props, blankets, bows, etc. You do not have to worry about bringing anything.

When and how to book your session?

It is best to contact me during your second trimester. This ensures that I have availably for your due date. I typically pencil in your due date and then once baby arrives we can set the official session date. Babies tend to have a mind of their own and rarely come on their due date. Once your due date is on my schedule it doesn't matter if your little one comes early, late, or right on time.

What if my baby is already here?

If your little one is already here don't worry. My schedule is always changing so do not hesitate to see if I have any last minute availability. Even if your baby is outside of the "ideal first two weeks" we can still capture amazing images.

What is included in the session?

Newborn sessions include a customized session based off of colors, props, and poses that you like. Parents and siblings are welcome to be included in the session but not required. Your images will be delivered via email with a print release. This will allow you to print and share your images with friends and family. Your final images will be high resolution digital images that are fully edited.
